invalid ip address when running NukeSentinel - 2007/03/17 20:20
If you are using NukeSentinel on a PHPNuke web site and start getting complaints from visitors about this error message:
| Code: |
YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE
You have attempted to access this site with an invalid IP.
If you think this is a mistake you can contact the site webmaster at
Be SURE to include the following information in any email!
User Agent:
Remote Address:
Client IP: none
Forwarded For: none
|
The reason is because the IP address the visitor has is listed in the Reserved IANNA IP address range on the NukeSentinel database tables.
The fix is to download and install the latest version of the ip2country database tables.
Download the DAT file version and extract them on your computer.
Upload them to your web sites folder using ftp to the folder:
public_html/import/
Login to phpnuke admin interface and use Nukesentinel to update the ip2country database tables.
The other option is to manually install the Reserved_IANNA.sql file using phpmyadmin (requires you to download the ip2country sql zip file and extract it)
