thanks for this new.
I have a replacement development system now (linux system based on an AMD 64).
with the split of mambo and joomla, that ruined my plans as a mambo module. Although most people wouldnt have been aware of the problems to come, I am very familiair with open-source software splits and knew the two would not be similar for long (the most recent announce of joomla on their web site addresses this issue - as joomla is now pretty much a rewrite and from the mambo web site reference the new released beta - the mambo core has also changed). These two changes now make them completely different cms's and will require them to stand on their own (no more sharing code between the two)
I have been working on the race stats, but I dont have anything ready for release, and may not for some time yet. The new version becomes a stand alone php application with many new features requested both online and offline. In essence, it has become a mini-cms (content management system) all on its own, but can be easily integrated with other cms's like mambo, joomla, phpnuke, etc. However, there will not be a single sign-on system between the racestats and the cms it is integrated with (due to different types of sign-on systems between cms's)
A few new features include: Race Track Detailed Statistics (including photo album) Rider Detailed Statistics (ala Biography, including photo album and rider race statistics) Store-front (integrates with paypal) for selling items (i.e., tickets and track merch, riders could sell for instance...parts) Support for multiple types of tracks and races - horse, motobike, automobile, etc Templating system which uses css and a basic html page for themes (easier to integrate look and feel of main site)
