WS_FTP does not show me hidden files/directories - 2004/12/08 03:39 In the classic interface of WS_FTP, make sure that nothing is selected/clicked on or highlighted in blue in the remote system list, and then click the transfer arrow. You will be prompted for the file name and can type in filenames that begin with a period that do not display in the file listings. See also the WS_FTP help.

Another thing you can do is look for the MkDir button on the display for the remote site. Under it is a blank box. In that blank box, type: -la
That will cause all files in the directory to be listed, even hidden ones that begin with a period. See also the WS_FTP help.

If you do not have WS_FTP, you can download it from our repository of files. WS_FTP LE is the last totally free version no longer supported by IPSwitch, WSFTPHome is a 30 day trial version and may not be the latest version available.

If you are using some other ftp program, please click the Help button in the program and search for "hidden" or "hidden files" to see how to get your program to display all files in a directory.
