Defeating referrer / referral spam & comments spam - 2006/07/05 15:21
I purposefully mispelled referrer above because some people search for multiple spellings of referrer. Anyways, we just published a document that can help you defeat referrer / referral spam on content management web sites, specifically for PHP-Nuke web sites that get a lot of porn, drug, rx, and other objectionable referrals / referrers to their statistics pages. It will also help to defeat spam messages posted to comments of phpnuke, wordpress, and the like.
